Come join USGBC East TN for a lunch discussion of critical new regulatory changes and innovative stormwater management techniques and what they mean for safeguarding the environment, project site design and permitting.
In recent years, growing awareness, state pressure, and mandated changes at city and county levels have created a complex set of regulations governing stormwater management. This panel/discussion lunch meeting features representatives from City and County stormwater management programs in a discussion/panel presentation format.
Additionally, this timely discussion will educate professionals in the building, engineering, architecture and design industries as well as the general public on new requirements and key features of 21st Century infrastructure systems, including ‘green infrastructure’, which promises to protect water quality, improve air quality, save energy and your bottom line. Strategies and insights for integrating new approaches into projects will be offered, as well as a breakdown of how these new changes will help the environment.
This course is approved for 1 GBCI credit and 1 AIA LU/HSW/SD credit
Lunch will be provided.
Cost: $10 for members, $15 for non-members. Students admitted at the member rate with College Photo ID.
