Cities offer unique challenges and opportunities for sustainable improvements. As centers of concentrated population, cities are the most important arenas for efficiency gains in terms of infrastructure, growth, energy and resources.
Making cities sustainable has major implications for the future of prosperity and quality of life for everyone in East Tennessee. Several municipalities are leading the way, with a variety of initiatives underway and in development dedicated to an environmentally, socially, and economically healthy future.
On July 19, join USGBC-ET and representatives from the cities of Knoxville and Oak Ridge to share new ideas, experiences and the current status of municipal sustainability initiatives.
