Highlights from The 3rd Annual ETN-USGBC Green Light Awards

The 3rd Annual ETN-USGBC Green Light Awards Ceremony was held January 30, 2014, from 5:30-8:30pm at The Emporium Center for Arts & Culture. The Annual ETN-USGBC Green Light Awards celebrates the achievements of outstanding individuals whose efforts in the past year have advanced sustainability in East Tennessee. The ceremony culminates in the awarding of two very prestigious awards: The Green Leader Award, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions in extending the benefits of green building to the surrounding community, and The Green Light Award, which is presented to an organization that has been deemed a leader of sustainability in the local community.

Kim Shinn (PE, LEED Fellow, CxA, BEMP) gave the keynote address, and inspired attendees to pursue sustainable design not just for monetary gains, but for the good of future generations.
